KENNETH R. ROTHSCHILD IS AGAIN SELECTED FOR INCLUSION IN THE "BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA"

We are pleased to announce that Ken Rothschild has been selected to be included in the 2011 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America" in the practice area of Construction Law. Mr. Rothschild was a previous recipient of this distinguished honor for the 2010 edition. The selection to Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive and rigorous peer-review survey comprising more than 3.1 million confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country. Because no fee or purchase is required, being listed in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. The "Best Lawyers in America" also reaches the largest and most targeted audience of any peer-review listing in the legal profession. Best Lawyers lists appear regularly in Corporate Counsel Magazine, which reaches more than 88,000 general counsel. Excerpts from the lists also appear in The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, and more than 60 other regional and city magazines around the world, reaching more than 16 million readers. This honor is particularly meaningful since it is based primarily on peer review surveys.

CHRISTOPHER H. WESTRICK SELECTED TO "40 UNDER 40"

Golden Rothschild is pleased to announce that Christopher H. Westrick was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal to the 2010 "40 Under 40". This distinction is awarded to the top forty lawyers in the State of New Jersey under forty years old, a determination that is based upon attorneys' experience, accomplishment, management roles at their firms, rainmaking, community involvement, and volunteerism. Mr. Westrick handles the majority of the firm's complex construction defect matters and has developed and oversees the firm's employment litigation practice. He has developed a strong reputation in both fields as an effective and forceful advocate while recognizing the critical need for cooperation in resolving complex multi-party construction cases through intense mediation. He has tried numerous matters to jury verdict involving complicated issues of law and fact and with significant exposure to his clients, in both state and federal courts, and has obtained several successful results on appeals. Mr. Westrick also practices in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and professional malpractice. Additionally, Mr. Westrick will serve as the Chair-Elect of the Self-Insurers and Risk Managers Committee ("SIRM") of the American Bar Association for the 2010-2011 term. In this role, he will work in concert with the SIRM Chair and the overall leadership of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. SIRM's mission is to examine matters relating to the law and risk management governing self-insurance, and the relationship between risk managers and outside counsel.

KENNETH R. ROTHSCHILD ARGUES CASE OF FIRST IMPRESSION BEFORE SUPREME COURT OF NEBRASKA

On September 1, 2010, Ken Rothschild had the Honor being admitted pro hac vice into the Supreme Court of Nebraska to argue a case of first impression regarding the duty of a producer to a carrier who wrote a policy through another producer. The primary question was whether the producer of one policy (Policy 1) had a duty to the carrier who wrote a separate and distinct policy (Policy 2) and with whom the producer had no relationship. Secondly, would the carrier for Policy 2 have a right of equitable subrogation against the broker because of a claimed error by the producer which resulted in a denial of coverage by Carrier 1, which otherwise would have shared the exposure. We will await with interest the decision of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
