ARTICLE PUBLISHED
Audrey Shields and Ken Rothschild have published an article in the Fourth Quarter 2008 newsletter issued by PAR, Ltd. PAR is an association of approximately 60 insurance agencies located throughout the country. GRSLL&B defends these entities against E&O claims in New Jersey and provides legal assistance for matters arising elsewhere. The article discusses some of the problems associated with Certificates of Insurance. A copy of the articles can be obtained by contacting us directly.

APPELLATE SUCCESS
Christopher Westrick successfully argued a substantial matter recently before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The case involved a coverage dispute between workers compensation insurers over which one should pay benefits to a construction worker who was catastrophically injured in a fall down an incomplete elevator shaft. With lifetime benefits estimated at $7 to $8 Million, the insurers disputed whether a misrepresentation on an insurance application permitted the opposing insurer to rescind its policy in the face of the injured worker’s claim.

CIVIL PRACTICE SEMINAR PRESENTED
On October 1, 2008, Philip A. Garubo, Esq., and Philip A. Lundell, Esq., attended an Everest Manager Meeting as guest speakers. The topic at the meeting was expert witnesses, trial strategies and jury selection.
